Nasi Lemak
This is my breakfast today. Yummy, yummy.... but it is a bit different from what I used to get in Malaysia. It does not come with cucumber or peanuts. But, they give one "small" fried fish, anchovies, sambal and a piece of fried egg which is as thin as a piece of a paper. The sambal is "packed" between two small cut banana leaves, so for those who does not take sambal, can remove it easily. $1.50 per packet, not bad huh? And it is really "filling".
This nasi lemak is very sellable. We need to call one day in advance in order to ask the kopitiam uncle to reserve some for us.
I am not a nasi lemak lover. But, why am I so tempted on it? Maybe it is because of its packaging. It is nicely packed with banana leaves. And it looks big too! Not like the Malaysia one which is packed using newspaper or low quality papers.
Other than nasi lemak, they sell Kaya Toast ($0.80 per set), "chu cheong fun" ($1.00 each), and fried bee hoon ($1.00 each).
This nasi lemak and "kopi siew dai" is the best combination breakfast. "Siew Dai" means less sweet. Friends, try this next time! Hope you will like it too!

Weekend @ Singapore
Today is only Tuesday. I hope today is next Wednesday because i am missing my home, my family and Mok! I wish I am at KL now! I will be going back to KL next Wednesday for a long weekend (8th -12th) due to Singapore National Day.
Since i am travelling back to Malaysia every week, but i don't feel 'sienz' at all. In fact, I do not know what to do in Singapore on weekends. Shopping? No..... because the Great Singapore Sales has just ended, furthermore, whenever i buy things, i will do the conversion. Go out with friends? hmmmm, have to walk a lot and spend a lot of $$$ too! Stay at home? No way! My room is extremely warm in the afternoon and i am allergic to my land lord!
What to do on this coming weekend? OK, Friday night, will meet my college friend Robin for dinner because he is starting work in Singapore on 1st August. And I didnt meet him for a long time (last time was on his convo).
Saturday, hmmmmm, will do window shopping with "Feed Fish" (my secondary schoolmate, knew her for more than 10 years). Saturday night, maybe go Marina Bay with my colleagues to have seafood buffet.
But, how about Sunday? Really got nothing to do leh. Hmmmm, maybe i can call my Indonesian friend, Yaya, to accompany me to Suntec City.
Oh ya, I have to finish the novel called "The Learning Curve", so that I can read the next book, Harry Potter, and maybe spend some time to do masks, medicure as well as pedicure!

Singapore
I have been working in Singapore for more than 6 months. Conclusion? haha? Am i more "kiasu" now? Sadly, yes "gua".
That day when i was in KL meeting up my friends, my friends said:" Wei, don't walk so fast la, this is not Singapore!". In Singapore, everyone walk fast, Singaporean are always chasing time. Some even run in MRT stations, and the escalators are faster! Shops in complexes close around 9.15pm. Basically after 11pm, hardly see people "lepaking" around.
Why I said I became more "kiasu"?
The facts are:-
1) Freebies - never missed (like free newspapers, brochures....)
2) Taxi - is a no, no for me (peak hours -extra $2, within city areas -extra $1, On call -extra $4, use highway- extra $$, nicer taxi -luxurious one - extra $0.30, mid-night - xtra 50% ) Wah! after calculation, i can actually buy a return ticket to KL. But, the Taxi stands queues in Singapore always very long (Maybe they are all very rich!)
3) Bus tickets - If there is any holidays in one month ahead, better buy or book your ticket fast! Basically you need to book one month in advance! Or else, you can only get ticket to JB, and from there take other public transport to Singapore.
p/s: Taxi do not stop in bus-stop, in fact, they are not allowed to!
