Fry the onion until you can smell its fragrance

    Put in tomatoes

Add in some water, salt, and sugar. Cook until the tomatoes become watery.

Next, pour in the egg mixture and stir-fry until it becomes slightly firm

Put in the tomatoes and onions

    Mobile number portability! At last!

Yeah! At last Malaysians can have the freedom of switching network service providers without having to forego their original phone number.

According to the STAR: Effective Friday, the service will be extended to users with prepaid mobile phone numbers in the Klang Valley. Postpaid users can start enjoying the facility in two weeks.

But, users need to pay RM25 for switching Service Provider. For prepaid users, better finish all your credits before switching as any remaining credit would not be refunded.

    My junkfood of the week...

Met Ming Er for dinner and we also went to the travel agency to check for our coming Indonesia trip's information. After taken a few brochures, we went to People's Park Complex's Food Court to have dinner. Both of us had WAT DAN HOR (Cantonese Style fried Kuay Teow) - $3.00 each. Then, we window shopped a bit at OG and the temporary night market near OG. Oh ya, I bought a pair of slippers during lunch time, $10 only, lol. It was Monday, I need to stock up my junk food for this week, so we walked to CK building. As usual I bought 2 bottles of Minute Maid Orange Juices, and a packet of seaweed. The seaweed cost me $2.50 (cheap?).

    $2.50 * 2.36 (today's rate) = RM5.90
    RM5.90 / 80 packs = RM 0.07375 (wuakaka less than RM0.10 per pack)

    Me and my forever calculation!!!

    Streamyx is down again!
I carried my laptop all the way from Singapore back to KL, but Streamyx is down!! What is this? Quite disappointed with Streamyx service, or was it because of the bad weather (raining season)?
Lily, Kyanne and Vicky, please please please tell me in advance if Streamyx is down again, so that I do not have to carry my super heavy laptop with me.

Thanks to LT for giving me this award.

    Chuka Zanmai @ Plaza Damas

Lunch with Dear at Chuka Zanmai last Sunday, a newly opened restaurant in Hartamas Shopping Center.
Food looked nice, but not really taste nice.
Not cheap, RM20 per bowl of Ramen, not including tax yet.
I had my all time favorite Cool Noodle (donno what is called in Japanese..hehehe). Dear had his favorite Ramen and we ordered Unagi too.
The portion was kinda small, not feeling full. After lunch, we went somewhere else for coffee (The Starbucks next door).

    Old SMRT bus

Yesterday evening, as usual, I walked to the bus stop near my office to wait for my bus. The digital bus arrival time board showed that my bus will be arriving in 3 minutes. Normally it is very crowded, especially around 6-7pm, I hardly get seats. But, out of my surprise, the bus was almost empty, with only 3 passengers in the bus.
The bus is so OLD but the air-cond was kind of strong, I felt so cold once I got into the bus. I have chosen a seat near the the Exit, and I started to observe the bus. Old bus, a really old bus. I feel scared. The driver looked scary too.

    Inside the bus

I felt even scarier when the exit door opened for passenger to get down from the bus. The door is the sliding type. I managed to record it.

    Times Bookstore warehouse sale

Reached KL around 12am++. It was a tiring journey. Then, I drove to dear's house to have dinner. Some of you might ask: What? dinner around 1 a.m? Yes, dinner at 1 a.m. This is my Friday dinner time. By the time I reach KL and by the time dear close his shop is will be around 12 a.m. - 1 .am.
I reached his house before him. Then I parked my car in front of his house. BANG!
"What was that sound? Did I just hit something? Am I too sleepy?"
Then I walked out from my car and checked what actually happened. Guess what? Nothing happened to my car, but just right before I wanted to get back into my car, I was actually stepping on some "ashes". Oh god! And I also saw some bricks with joss sticks!!! I quickly get back into my car, and locked myself inside. Seconds later, I saw 2 cars were heading to dear's house. Thanks god, dear and his father were here!
After dinner, we went for a drink somewhere near his house. And I told him about that incident. He asked me not to worry, nothing will happen. Wish me luck ya, I hope nothing will happen too.

Had breakfast with mom and sis at Kim Gary in Hartamas shopping center. The main purpose of taking them there was because of the Times Bookstore Warehouse Sale. I bought 6 books for RM57 only! Cath, thanks for the information!

    Clinique 3-step

    Clinique 3-step

I have very oily skin. Months ago, I had suffered with hormonal breakouts, my skin was never clear and it left me lots of dark spots (Acne scars) on my jaw line. I have tried all type of products, especially those with Vitamin C or lemon juice in order to clear those dark spots but nothing seems to help. I also put sliced cucumber on my face every night, but still, I did not see the result.
So, I decided to give Clinique 3-Step a try. Since it is recommended by CLEO. I bought this 3-step system which is suitable for combination skin to oily skin type. I can see the result after 3 days! My skin is not that oily anymore! All I need is 3 minutes and the morning and another 3 minutes in the evening!
    1. Cleanser - what you need is just a small amount, says half of a 5 cents coin? It gives you a clean face without feeling the drying/tightening effect after wash.
    2. Toner - I love this toner, it clears my dark spots! Remember, Exfoliation is the engine of skin renewal!
    3. Moisturizer - I have chosen the gel base type. It is oil-free. My face feels fresh after applying it.
Clinique 3-step, my special companion forever!

    Singapore Bak Kut Teh

    Singapore Bak Kut Teh...

I like the rice with dark soya sauce

I think Rinnel (my lunch mate) will be very happy if I declare Tuesday as Bak Kut Teh day.lol. Other than Laksa, Bak Kut Teh is also one of our Singapore favorite foods. But, I still prefer Malaysia's Bak Kut Teh. As you can see from the pictures, the Singapore bak kut teh soup is 'clearer', in fact, they only put pepper, pork ribs, garlic, salt and water. No herbs and no "fei chee yoke", and that's why the soup is not oily.
Can't wait to have Bak Kut Teh for lunch...

    Price info:
SG$4.00 for the Bak Kut Teh
    SG$0.50 for the rice

    Why White color wan?

Brown shell egg and white shell egg

Both are from white shell egg (the yolks look like salted egg yolk)

When I was young, I watched Hong Kong drama, and I found out that most of the time, the eggs that they used are white in color. Then I ask my mom:" Mama, why their egg color like that one?". Mama:"Dunno wor". And I am still curious about it.
Last week, my auntie gave us some eggs, and they are all white in color (egg shell). After breaking the eggs, I found out that the yolk color is also different from the brown shell's egg yolk. The white shell egg yolk is 'darker Orange'. Please note that, I am showing White Shell Egg in the photos, and not SALTED egg.
Thanks to Google. I found one LINK that actually summarize Egg Shell Color Chart by Breed of Hen. In the chart I saw Malay hen (tinted) and Indian hen (tinted or brown color), but I dont see any Chinese hen. hahaha! enjoy!

    First SMS love confession

Attention! For those who scared "YOKE MA", please do not read this post.

"You've got a message!" - my message alert tone woke me up this morning.
Who message me in the middle of the night?
I glanced at the clock with my half-opened-eyes. What? 5.30am?
OK, I forced myself to read the message. But right before I read the message, my heart was beating very fast, I started to worry, who sends me sms this early? Could it be something really urgent? What could have happened? Don't scare me!" These are the things that came across my mind this morning before I read the message.

    Beep beep bop bop....
    Namo Amitabha... Namo Amitabha...
    I opened the message.
Who is this? The most handsome??? Who is the most handsome??? Is this a prank or what? Because recently my blog is being visited by some imposter, which make me really unhappy about the issue. Then I checked the number +6018xxxxxxx, then I remembered, this is Dear's new number. I have forgotten that I saved his name as the most handsome!!! (Weeks ago, dear told me that he got a new number, and he asked me to save it in my mobile. But, I really donno what to put for his name so I just simply typed The Most Handsome) - saved and totally forgot about this.

So Sweet! Thanks dear for the sweet message!
I know some of you might say "Cheh! One normal message only ma!"
But this SMS meant so much to me! This is the first SWEET SMS from my dear, after more than 6 years. We both are not SMS type of person. We normally call instead of text. We text only when we are having 'cool war'. lol
Anyway, thanks Dear! I am very happy!

    Hungry Ghost Festival Taboos

Specially dedicated this post to John Matthew

    Taboos to Follow:
    1. Avoid swimming during the 7th month. It is believed that those previously drowned evil ghost might cause you to drown in the swimming pool. Such ghost need to find victims in order for them to be go for rebirth.

    2. Children and young adults are also advised to return home early and not to wander around alone at night. This belief is due to the reason that the wandering ghosts can possess children easily.

    3. Avoid moving into new homes and opening new businesses this month as it is considered inauspicious and bad luck on new ventures.

    4. Avoid getting married during this month because couples will have bad ending. Some bad ghost may cast a bad spell on couples during their wedding.

    5. Avoid going for jungle trekking and going on camping trips as chances of injuries, possession and death are high.

    6. Drive very carefully during this month to avoid accidents, as there may be many wandering spirits who died of accidents previously that are searching for next victims so that they could be reincarnated.

    Hotel Taboos:

For those who are travelling, they may want to be cautious when staying in hotels. The hotel is considered as a "yin place" and is normally a favorite settlement for ghosts. The following are some tips that one can follow when staying in hotels to prevent ghostly encounters:

    1. Provide a respectful knock on the bedroom door before you enter for the first time.

    2. Avoid entering the room right away. Whisper to yourself that you are renting the room to stay temporarily, as a form of asking permission. Let any spirit leave the bedroom first before you enter.

    3. Place your pair of shoes or sandals facing the door. The shoes must be away from the bed. One side of the shoe points to the door and the other side point inwards.

    4. Display a glass of salt water next to your bed. Salt is an excellent antidote for dirty energy.

    5. You are encouraged to flush the toilet bowl first before using it.

    6. You are also encouraged to avoid wearing black or striking red colored clothings.

    7. Normally there is a bible or quran in the drawers. Please avoid touching or moving them from their original positions.

    8. Always keep the toilet's door closed with lights turned off when you go to sleep.

    9. Try to avoid facing the mirror when you sleep. If the mirror is designed in this manner, try to cover it with a towel.

    10. Avoid placing any shoe next to the bed when sleeping.

    11. Watch out the mouth from mentioning anything about ghost. Ghost story telling must be avoided by all means.

    Monday blues ...

I think I have not recovered from that day which i worked for 23 hours yet. I am very sleepy now. Yesterday slept during the bus journey, and also slept for 7 hours at night. But still, I am feeling very sleepy and blur now. How much sleep do I need in order to recover? Taken my B complex and also a cup of black coffee just now. Hope they help. There are quite a lot of things to be done today.

Will try to go home by 7.30pm from today onwards as I read about some taboos of Ghost Month this morning. It says that we shall reach home by 10.00pm. A bit scary because i need to walk quite far from the bus stop to my house. And my landlord put some Ornamental Buddha Head as decorative in the living room too. So, whenever I open my room's door the first thing I will see is the Ornamental Buddha Head. Scary! Especially at midnight.

    Sunday .....

Another Sunday. In less than 2 hours, I got to go back to Singapore again. 4.15pm bus. Have to sit in the bus for at least 6 hours, got to queue up in checkpoint with my 2 big bags, got to transfer to another bus then walk home again. This is what I need to do every Sunday.

Dear is sick again. He is suppose to meet me for lunch before I leave. Gave him a morning call, he sounded so weak. I decided not to force him to come over to have lunch with me. Last Sunday, we did not have lunch together as he was tired and lazy. For next Sunday, no lunch date with him as well because I only managed to get 1.30pm bus ticket (tickets all sold out due to Singapore National day on 9th August). But, I dont mind, as I enjoy spending my Sunday morning at home.

Actually, staying at home on Sunday morning, I feel more relaxed compare to go out for lunch then rush to Puduraya to catch my bus. At least, I can wake up a bit later, do my packing SLOWLY, enjoy home cook food, and also to update my blog. lol
